ArtisanCutlery Crusoe ATZ-1869G S90V Blade Titanium Handle Folding Knives

ArtisanCutlery Crusoe ATZ-1869G S90V Blade Titanium Handle Folding Knives
Designer: Nick Rogers “As knife enthusiasts, one often pondered question is that of the desert island knife. If you were stranded on a deserted island and could only have one knife, what would it be? For this design, I tried to distill features that I love from different designs into one knife I could be happily stranded with, and that's the Crusoe. It is a full size knife, big enough to do some serious work, but sleek enough to forget about in pocket. It features a neutral handle profile with an index finger cutout and widened back end to provide just enough security but not get in the way when using different grip options. The handle spine is gently concave for maximum comfort in hard bearing tasks, and leads uninterrupted into the robust drop point blade. The low tip makes utility cuts easier to manage, while maintaining enough belly for slicing performance. Using thicker blade stock combined with a high flat grind and swedge, the blade is strong enough to put up with some measured abuse but precise enough to slide through material and perform detailed work. The construction is simplified to just a single barrel spacer through which the clip is attached, relying on the thicker yet gently tapered titanium handles for stability. The bearing action is smooth and addicting, with both opening hole and front flipper deployment options, and easily accessible lock bar disengagement. It's a do it all knife, a trusty companion, a worthy desert island pick. ” Specification: Blade Length 3.54"(90mm) Blade Thickness 0.17"(4.2mm) Blade Finish Sand Polish Blade Grind Flat Blade Material S90V Blade Hardness HRC60-62 Blade Style Clip point Overall Length 8.35"(212mm) Closed Length 4.8"(122mm) Handle Material Titanium Clip Material Titanium Pivot Assembly Ceramic Ball Bearing Lock Type Frame Lock Weight 144g/5.1oz
