Based on that idea, the goal was to create a futuristic cleaver—something with recognizable lines but completely detached from traditional forms. The result? A wild cutting machine, featuring a signature grind with a downward-sloped fuller and a parallel grind, plus a high hollow grind near the tip for extra functionality. In the closed position, if you rest the knife on the back of the handle and balance it on the protruding part of the blade, it takes on the silhouette of a spaceship preparing for liftoff. A small but satisfying detail that adds to its sci-fi aesthetic. Despite its aggressive design and bold name, Butcherling is a total pacifist at heart.
